Personal History

Esom was a commander star fleet in the 2370's. His wife and daughter lived on Setlik III when the cardassians performed their sneek attack on the planet. This killed both his wife and young daughter. When the news of the massacre reached him Esom resigned his commission and searched for what had happened on Setlik III. When it became apparent that the cardassians were behind the massacre Esom battled with the desire to get retribution and revenge. When the news that the Federation had signed a treaty with the Cardassians giving over federation territory and a resistance grew Esom knew what he had to do. He joined the fledgling Maquis. He served as a ship captain with the Maquis, his only thought was to make the "spoonheads" pay for murdering his family. After the Maquis were destroyed Esom drifted across the Quadrant in the ship he had commanded for the Maquis. He picked up what little contracts he could to keep the ship flying and what little crew he had paid.
